Just a developer searching for a new kind of path
To make the right kind of difference
For both myself and others.
Before attending Nashville Softwares School, I had always had an interest in code, But before the COVID-19 Pandemic, I allowed the
sometimes insular nature of the field
to steer me away. The crisis opened my eyes and reminded me that life is too short to spend
wondering "what if?" Before software, I taught martial arts to fighters and other adults. Before that,
I taught children in schools. I am
very excited to leave education and work hands on, but will always bring the lessons learned there with
me as I make my way in the development world.
Recent Work
Lithub
Full Stack Capstone. Django/React project utilizing MaterialUI to build a wiki-esque site for information about fictional characters. Characters can be sorted by series, book, author, and name, and users may add new instances of all four resources, as well as pictures for characters. Key feature is a form of "version control" that lets users have personal versions of characters that they can submit to an admin queue to be approved to become the public version (or rejected).
